FS - 1969 L46 convertible w/factory side exhaust [Eastern PA - Phila]
1969 Corvette Stingray, numbers matching, L46 350/350 with factory installed side-pipes. 83,500 miles on chasis, rebuilt motor and transmission.
This car is currently undergoing a frame on restoration, runs and drives, but circumstances have caused a need for sale. Drive train and body panels are all numbers matching, including the rear valance (see pics) proving the factory side-pipe install.
This was intended to be a beautiful, raw, driving machine. No power steering, no tilt steering wheel, no power brakes, no A/C...but...rebuilt engine that was ported and polished, mild cam, new clutch, resurfaced fly wheel, the original recored big block radiator and Hurst stock style shifter...attempting to maintain the heritage and originality of the car with modern adjustments.
What's been done:
Sending unit
Radiator recore
Thermostat
All hoses and mounts replaced
Rebuilt Muncie M21 transmission
Luk Clutch
Pertronics Ignition System
Resurfaced Fly Wheel
Complete Valve Job with new valves, guides and seals
Ported, resurfaced deck and in-take

New cluster lens set
New carpets
Stock style Hurst shifter handle
New air **** vents
Windshield wiper override switch
New horn relay / buzzer
New ignition switch
New courtesy light
New speakers
Original radio works, but not great sound.
All original parts have been kept and come with the car.
All replacement parts documented.
What does it need to be finished?
Brakes and tires - that was next on the list.
Minor fiberglass work
Rechrome bumpers and pipes
Moldings
One headrest
Paint (hood has been sanded and primered)
Asking $30,000 or best offer.
Text or Call: 215-913-5452

To be clear, this car needs to be sanded, minor fiber glass work done (tried to show it in the pictures...it also has the typical very subtle cracks over the wheel wells) a full paint job, re-chromed and weather stripping.
It needs new brakes - currently stops fine, but has rust on calipers. It needs new tires - date stamp of '99 on them.
Driver side window (original glass) has some chipping in the top - I chose to keep it due to originality. The original windscreen has slight scratches in it from wiper use.
I bought the car with the intentions of just doing paint and chrome...and...well...we all know how that goes.

This is a good price for a real side pipe roadster.
Did you check to see if the tank sticker is still there?
If I get rid of my 68 Camaro I may come look at this one. I'm not too far from you.

I was hoping we would find the build sheet when we pulled the tank. Original, very clean tank (all the rubber was dried out so needed to be replaced), no build sheet. When we pulled the console and the carpets we thought it might be there too...no luck. Almost as good were the original chalk numbers of the panels.

Working on a video of cold start, drive after cold start, interior, and walk around...been a nice amount of interest (and some low offers ) so far.
Any requests?
The more I drive the car, and then looking at the video, the more I want to keep it...such a great machine!

Your "Corvette Specialist" doesn't know what hes talking about. If your car has a matching numbers engine, which it looks like it has, then you will see on your engine pad the two letters "HW" after the build date of the engine, which you can see in your picture. That indicates 350hp, 4sp. Its not an LT1. Its an L46.
