Default 1978 Restomod, about 450HP

I am selling my custom and restomod 1978 Corvette. I will start off by saying that she's not for someone that wants a number-matching car. She's a lady for a driver that appreciates big power and wants to enjoy driving her. I am military, and as such I do not have the time (and recently, location) to give her all of the love and attention that she enjoys. Onto the specs and eye candy!

Modifications:

          Other features:

I have enjoyed driving this beauty, but like I said before my life has prevented me from enjoying her. She did serve as a daily driver for about a year, so she has proven driveability. There's no lack of power; on the dyno she registered around 450hp and 390 ft-lbs of torque at 118mph in THIRD gear. With three more gears to go.

The car is located in California and has been there for a few years. I have had to move around recently to areas where I wouldn't want to take a classic. She just needs a battery charge, fluid change, and she'll start right up.

Asking price is $23,000.00 OBO, being sold as-is, where-is with no waranty expressed or implied.

One of the prettiest Corvettes I have ever seen. Wish I had the money to take her home! Amazing! Good luck selling

Cool car, curious why they would put it on the rollers in 3rd gear vs 4th.

Thank you, since she is a six-speed third gear is her most powerful gear.

She has power steering, so that is the only real"update". A lot of the suspension has been replaced with OEM parts, and the same goes for the brakes (calipers, pads).

Thank you! To be honest I do not know since I am not presently with the car. If you are interested in the car I could find out for you.

There is no such thing as too many toy cars.

I love it. Would be perfect if she was a 68-72 year model, and I would love her as my own. Just a tad too young for my liking. Great car and build.
From a vet, thanks for what you do. And to your family for their sacrifice.

It's a job, pays the bills, which keeps the wife happy.

I agree that 68-72 is the crown jewel of C3's, and I would love to get one (with a matching 427 and 4-speed) as a retirement present for myself in about 7ish years.

If you know of anyone that would love this lady for what she is, please spread the word!

I received some brain trauma and diagnosed with brain disease from several IED and just received 100% from the VA. A 68 or 69 has always been my dream car, and damnit, I'm finding one! I've had a 79, 77, 76 and 75.

I appreciate the offer, but it would be easier for me to just sell the whole car without parting her out. If her drivetrain is what you really want, then buy the whole car and take it out. Then you could have a blank slate C3 ready for anything.

              And she's an LQ9, not an LS2.

Yeah. That's too big of an investment for me. Why I'm not pulling the trigger on buying a new T56 or LS2 or even a LQ9.
I call the LQ9 and LS2 the same. Other than the weight differences, same. But I get it, being specific. I had looked into the 8.1 LS style engine, but they're not very mod friendly. But browsing this forum, there's one for sale for 3k. A running project car. Interesting, at least.
I just joined this forum a few days ago and easily have 30+ hours of browsing.
              Thanks
