1972 Elkhart green coupe **new price 12/7
For sale 1972 Elkhart Green coupe, 350 small block, 4 speed, 101k miles.
This is not a show car, but is a good solid driver, unbutchered and mostly original.
I bought this car 2 years ago from my dad, who bought it from another forum member 3 or 4 years before that.
Exterior:
Paint is shiny but shows its age.
Bumpers and all chrome trim are excellent.
Windshield has a palm sized delamination patch, top center. All other glass is excellent.
Headlights & wipers work as they should. I have the original luggage rack that can easily be reinstalled.
Interior:
Passenger seat has no rips or tears and is original.
Driver’s seat has worn area apparently caused by seatbelt.
Front carpet is new, and I have new carpet for rear compartment, although that carpet is in great shape.
Lap belts are excellent and shoulder straps have been rebuilt.
All gauges work and clock even keeps correct time.
Radio does not work.
Driver door panel has crack, and I have a new re-pop panel.
Engine:
Was professionally rebuilt 8,000 miles ago. Now has 10:1 compression ratio, 280 comp cam, and was balanced. Has aftermarket aluminum intake and holly carb. Heads were reworked and larger valves installed. Distributor was converted to pertronix ignition. Has ceramic coated hooker headers with 2.5” exhaust. New radiator. No over heating problems. I still have the original intake, carb, exhaust manifolds, dual snorkel air cleaner and ignition shielding. I have the paper work for the engine rebuild.
Trans:
Throwout bearing, clutch, and pressure plate were replaced 3000 miles ago. Trans was rebuilt at that time. Has stock shifter.
Suspension features monoleaf rear spring and 4 Bilstein shocks. I have a pair of 550 springs from VBP still in the box that I never got around to installing.
There are some assorted new parts that go with the car. Weather stripping, new door handles, new rear view mirror and some other things.
Asking $14,500. Car is in Friendswood TX. I have the clear blue Texas title in my name. My email is mscott96@comcast.net

New walk around video:

Sounds nice! I think if you could do a walk around video showing panel fit, doors opening and closing, lights/gauges functioning, etc. it would help with the sale. I say this because the clarity of the video you posted looks better than the pictures.

Very nice Corvette!!
Very Nice Corvette!!!
GLWS!
(Just to be sure, is the rebuilt engine and rebuilt 4sp transmission original to the Corvette and stamped with the vin suffix? and was this the base engine before the rebuild?)
(Glad to hear you and family did not get flooded, son is in Houston, did not get wet either, it was a mess, flooding like this never seen before I think)

Car sounds awesome! GLWS
Same question as 20mercury. Was it the base 200hp or the 255hp? I saw the air cleaner sticker but that may have been added despite - wondering potential HP with the rebuild upgrades...
