70 LS5 Top Flight/ Bloomington Gold Survivor All Docs
A real deal, original except as detailed below, and numbers matching big blue color, chrome bumper car. It's Donnybrook Green with black custom interior, with air-conditioning and 4 speed.
It does not have power brakes but when the front disk brakes locked up I replaced the rotors and calipers with Wilwood brakes and braided lines. For the purists, I kept the original stuff in case someone wanted to put it back to original. However, the pedal feel is so much better you'll never notice the brakes aren't power assisted.
I'm the third owner, the owner before me was an NCRS member and he had the car Top Flighted and also took it to Bloomington where it was awarded Survivor. The owner before him kept everything when he purchased it, even the key tags that have the codes on them. The keys are original and operate the alarm. I believe it has the original exhaust still on it.
The car was repainted sometime in the early 80's by the second owner in lacquer. If you see Donnybrook Green in sunlight, you will notice that it has very fine gold metallic in it, causing it to shine and change shades. The paint has held up well except for the top of the driver side fender where it has mildly checked.
It has less than 50,000 miles on it. I drove it 400 miles round-trip to the Frisco, Texas NCRS Regional meet where it was awarded a Top Flight 3 years ago.
It's an excellent driving car even on the highway. With tons of torque it cruises at 70 at 2800 rpm thanks to the 3.08 rear end.
Here's what it needs - the push button that turns off the "fasten seatbelt" light needs to be fixed, and the AC compressor needs to be rebuilt. It was blowing cold this summer right up until it seized. My plan was to send it to be rebuilt so I could keep the original case. For the right offer I will repair it, or you can do it yourself if you wish. There are zero rust issues.
I'm asking $55,000 or best offer. Some of the pics below show the car on 17" rims that I use for my cruising around rather than wear out the 15's. If you don't want those, state that in any offer you make, along with the AC repair. The car is in OKC, and of course you are welcome to have it and the documentation inspected
I thought I had a pic of the vin but I can't find it. I'll add that and other photos as requested.

Beautiful car. Good luck with the sale.
If I may ask, can you take a few pics for me to help get my 70 LS5 closer. The upper radiator mounts where they are bolted together. Also one of the condenser mounts and where the hoses attach.

Kind of. When I bought my car it was apart and some of the fasteners were gone. The upper radiator support bolt kit included a star washer and flat washer with a shiny zinc plated bolt and a black one. Not sure if should be two star washers nor if the condenser uses flat or star washers. The hoses for the AC were cut, and it came with a condenser that was new. There was a older condenser that was with the other parts as well. I’m not sure how the fittings to the con look on an original one. Trying to do this as correct as possible while being able to enjoy it.

This is the same one. I actually took a side trip while on a vacation to check it out. One look is all it took for me. Offered him a deposit and he declined / said he would hold it. Great guy, he wanted to make sure it went to a good home and I want to do the same.
Not many like these left.

Beautiful vette Mr Zoomin. Love the green!
If I may ask... would you be so kind as to share the specs on the 17" tire/wheel "cruising" setup? Brand, sizes, offset, etc. Perhaps there was a vendor you went through who knows all the sordid details.
Maybe I can make my lowly 75 model 1/2 as pretty lol.

Hi Kie, and thanks for the thread bump.
I got the wheels from Year One. link. This includes caps and lug nuts.
The tires I believe are 235/45R17. I'll double check when I get a chance.
