Default Looking For My 68 Corvette

I’m trying to locate my old 1968 Corvette for purchase. When sold the car had a .060 over 454, 4 speed trans with a Hone overdrive. The center console was modified to support the installation of the overdrive. Body mods included L-88 flairs, 1973 hood eliminating the wiper door and Bill Roell paint and pin stripes. Wheels were Corvette rally wheels, 8” in front, 12” rear. Although licensed as a 1968 the car did have a locking steering column, black leather seats and dash from a 1971 Corvette.

The car was sold in the early 90’s to a gentleman from the Middletown/Franklin/Southwestern Ohio area. Any information as to the location and owner of the car is appreciated.

Call 513-678-3649 and leave a message if not answered.

Have you tried the '68 C3 registry? Here's a link:

Still have the Vin? Go to the Ohio motor vehicle department with it since you're the previous owner they might give you the information on it, if they have any

If you have the vin and a friend in law enforcement that is willing to do you a favor, they can find the last registered owner. Found my first car that way.

Thank you for the replies. Looked on the registry and did not come up with anything. I know about finding it through someone in law enforcement but I do not know anyone. Also heard you can search last registered owner through someone in the insurance industry.

I'm in the insurance industry but we don't have access to that information. My wife was a title clerk for dealerships for a number of years and when she had to do a title search for trade-ins she basically had to start calling DMV offices in likely states
