'68 - '72 Convertible or Coupe 4-Spd or Auto
Hello folks. First, yes, I looked in this section for cars for sale. I began to go crazy trying to cipher through everything, so I felt the need to just post this WTB thread and have sellers contact me. I might have missed something, or there might be someone who has yet to post their car for sale who may contact me, etc. You get my point...........
I am finally in the market to buy now. I am ONLY looking for a very nice, clean '68 - '72 Convertible or Coupe with a realistic fair asking price. Convertibles with 4-speeds, or cars with 4-spds, air conditioning, good options and documentation to the front of the list. Preference is to small-block cars, but will consider big block cars. I am open to all colors and interior combinations. I am looking for a car that represents itself well, and most importantly a car that has been sorted out that I can drive, show and enjoy for many years ahead. Car doesn't need to be numbers matching. I'm not looking for unfinished running cars, project cars or sellers who have no history with their car (car flippers). My search is wide open to nationwide. My price range will vary based on what I see/hear from you regarding your car. Please contact me via PM with what you have, phone contact information and your area location. Ready to buy; I will not waste your time. Thank you.

Guys if you wrote one of the responses that were deleted, it’s because you did not provide an asking price for your car, per forum rules. Or, the car was not for sale (no “gauging interest.”)

Price range could vary because of the originality or condition of the car. If people are interested in selling their car they'll contact me like they have been doing and tell me their asking price. Regardless of the price I let them know right away if its doable or not. I'm not asking people for lots of details or photos until I know the asking price. Like I said, I don't want to waste anyone's time or effort if its not in the ballpark. Thanks.

...I dont know what you are looking to spend but i have a fairly rare 71 that I may let go of. Its a 71 LS5, 454/365 horse 4 speed roadster. Not a perfect car, but fun to drive and dependable. I fully understand your "survivor" reference. What I have is an original drivetrain car that has had 1 repaint . The paint is very good, with a few nicks and touchups. I drive this car and love it! Its mine, owned it for abt 7 yrs now, titled in my name. Garaged always. I have vinly covered hadrtop option. Car was born red with red interior. Some brain surgeon dyed the interior to black. Trim code is red/red. I never bothered changing it back.I would need 45K to let it go. I know it would be very hard to find another one like it. It's a real car. No rust very solid .71 ls5 converts 4 speed cars are rare.Let me know if interested...tks.

I have a 72 coupe, Ontario Orange, black interior. Was repainted about 20 years ago in excellent condition. Everything works, base 350, 4 speed, A/C numbers match. Only "flaw" if that bothers you is that it is showing rivet bumps on front. Of course this means it is an original no hit front end. Car has less than 61K miles. Will take $24,000.
