Default 1982 CE 41300 miles Reduced $16900

1982 Collectors Edition Corvette 41000 miles:

I bought this Corvette on the Forum so I wanted to post it for sale here first.

The car is absolutely amazing and I am blessed to have purchased it from a real Corvette guy. I bought it with about 33400 miles in January of 2017.

The car was owned for 16 years by its previous owner who was a total car guy and did mostly all the work himself at his bad *** shop. Originally these cars came with about 200 bhp. This one is putting out about 345-350 ish. It moves! But for a 35 year old Corvette it also drives pretty darn good with a minimum of rattles ect.

I have a whole book of his maintenance from when he bought it until he sold it to me and every bolt he turned….lol. To say the least it is extensive! I have the window sticker, and many, many original parts. It could be put back to the 200 bhp if anyone would ever want to do that. Everything he did to the car was first class and I have a pictorial of most of the work as well.

Since I have had the car, I have replaced all the belts, the alternator, passenger window motor, charged the a/c, and had the nuts replaced on the rocker arms and changed the oil. Pretty minor stuff considering the last driver really didn’t drive the car much and I have been driving it and enjoying it a lot. I could probably go through my list and add it to his list but I’m not really “that guy”. I have taken great care of the car in the time I’ve had it because the previous owner took such good care of it. Honestly, I just pulled out "The Book" just now for the second time since I bought the car and it is a lot of info to review. This was really one mans dream car!

Below is merely a sampling of the work done to the car by the previous owner. This is a very partial list. I have a zip file from the previous owner with so much information it will make your head spin just looking at it. There is also a wiring loom you can hook up to your car and your computer and tune or check the car. He also gave me a homemade balancer for the Crossfire injection system but it has worked fine so I haven’t had to use it. California smog ready. Passed with flying colors. The smog guy joked that it is almost an LEV. Added stock converter and flew right through. Have magnaflow also.

Take a look at the items below. There is a lot of money spent on these items. It was worth it because this car really moves. I used an iphone program called pocket dyno that I bought for my C7. Cost me 39 bucks and it showed 0-60 in 5.32 seconds and 1/4 mile at 106.52 on the 1982. I have no idea how accurate the program is but it felt about right. I only tried it a couple times because it is a 36 year old Corvette but it ran and shifted strong all the way through the 1/4.

Was the ECU "chipped" or swapped to something newer to support that 340-350hp?

I believe pretty much everything is spelled out in the advertisement. I cut and paste part of his word file and it pretty much says all the modifications. I would imagine either he had the chip flashed or upgraded it.

Considering I’ve owned 13 Corvettes, i’d say the engine is making all of 340+. My last C4 LT1 put out 300 horses and this one feels a lot meatier. It’s also a heavier car and more old-school so I’d say the performance is on par with the LT1 C4. Not in handling but in braking and straight line performance it’s a little better.

There are also lots of books with the car and a complete flash drive full of the mods.
