For Sale; 71 convertible 4 speed
Sold, going to a new owner. Thanks to all who expressed interest and a thumbs down to the single party that gave me the run around.
By noon tomorrow (Thursday) this car will be going to a new owner, good news, bad news !!!
Received a good offer .... could be selling soon.
PRICE DROP $24,000
I've got a 71 numbers matching 270 HP, 4 Speed. 50,000 original miles with several handling modifications. Power Rack and Pinion added with new poly bushing in the upper and lower control arms and all new steering related parts. Chambered exhaust, front and rear shocks, fiberglass rear spring, new universal joints and new rear bearings. 17" rims and tires added but I have the original wheels including the factory spare. Interior is in excellent condition, all gauges and lights work, radio does not. I have all the parts I took off when I added the new stuff. Motor is untouched except for previous owner added chrome valve cover and I have the original ones. New water pump but I have the original one too. All shielding in place. The car was repainted in the 70s and is in pretty good condition. Brands Hatch green with green interior. Factory luggage rack. The previous owner is a friend and had it for 35 years and put 10,000 miles on it.

The car is what it is. The cover is off the steering wheel now and the original rims go with the car. I'll assume any potential buyer can imagine what it looks like in stock form.

If you have had posts removed or edited, its because "constructive criticisms" and personal opinions about changes on the car do not advance a sales thread.
OP, beautiful car in all-stock and in Day 2 form. Shouldn't last long.

Here's a couple with the top up. The close up from the back is taken without the top being all the way closed because it's only 38 degrees in my garage.

71 for sale
I’ve got a heater in there, I keep it 38 all the time and turn it up when I’m working in there. It was probably 20-25 outside when I took the pic. Thanks for the bump.
