1980 Claret Corvette - Automatic - 11000?
I am posting to try and assist a close friend in selling his fathers vehicle that was passed down to him.
Me and him both know very little about C3s and their value, so any advice etc is much appreciated, thank you in advance
Posting the price of 11000 because hagertys values in the mid 11s so I thought that was a good base, but please feel free to correct me if this is way under/over.
This is a 1980 Chevrolet Corvette Automatic
The car has been stored inside its entire life. Southern car all of its life (we believe), and has no rust
The owner is looking to sell for cash to free up some space, it has been spun around the block a couple times a month for about the last year, and currently has just a hair over 90,000 miles.

I will update the thread as we dig and find more information about the car
I plan to put any buyers immediately in contact (text/call) with the seller, im just here as a middle man to help an older guy advertise it and gather information/value of the vehicle. The seller is not a forum member, and has never dealt with private vehicle sales, so I offered to assist him in not only gathering information and recommendations from people with experience/knowledge of these cars, but advertising/conducting the private sale of his car.
I will gladly assist anyone in contacting the seller before/after

Are you willing to agree to actually participate in trying to resolve any post-sale issues?
This is different from assisting someone in contacting the seller after the sale in the event of a dispute.

I guess Im slightly confused about that question in how I can “participate” if Im being asked to be financially responsible in some way shape or form, no.
This will be an AS IS sale with a clear and free title in the buyers hand upon purchase.

Hagerty is usually optimistic on price but you never know.

I believe the best route here would be for your friend to join the forum and with his free membership he should list and sell his car himself.
