1970 LT1 Coupe - One owner 40k
Original window sticker
As I said the seats need to be reupholstered
LT1 striping hand done after repaint
These shots were taken three years ago. We moved and I stored the car in a climate controlled building until this summer
original rally wheels
The paint looks good from here but there are flaws, good ol' Corvette spyder webbing in a couple of places
it's 1970 alright the LT1 no-goodies no a/c no p/s no p/b no problem
another angle
better shot of the hood
original bumper and grille ( not visible )
another angle
I would guess that maybe 10,000 miles in the last forty years
I have the original shields in a box
Original air pump, valve covers , air filter cover and bottom.
I am selling my 70 LT1 after almost 50 years of ownership. This Corvette has a little over 64,000 original miles. I have the original bill of sale, original window sticker, original build sheet, owners manual and some repair receipts and plenty of old registrations.
It is Bridgehampton blue with a black vinyl interior. I believe it is one of very few made with the M21 close ratio 4 spd and 4:11 gears.
This is basically a survivor car. It was repainted the original color with clear coat in the late 70's but it could use a repaint or touch up. It does have front quarter clip replacement that's about halfway up the fender. The body shop did not repair the small hole put there by someones trailer hitch this happened in 1973. The bumper was not damaged and is still on the car.The interior is okay but the seats need to be redone,. The years were not good to the original foam. The console has a repairable crack just behind the ebrake .Now the big problem for some is that the original block is in my basement. I replaced the entire short block with the correct LT1 components including the correct 11:1 pistons, pink rods and camshaft. As you will see in the pictures the original shields are also in a box in the basement.( It made valve adjustments much easier). But you will also see that the original air pump is still there.
Despite my list of negatives the car is still worth the 40k I am asking. It could be a good restoration project that would pay dividends or i hope someone who will keep it for a good long time.
please feel free to pm me and we can talk directly about my car.

Doesnt seem to get much better than that meaning legit history dont think the blocks an issue at all. If it was thats just someone hemming and hawing trying to beat you up on price. Good luck!

Great original car...
seeing as you bought it new...
Did you buy it new in New Hampshire?
Only reason I ask is my great grandfather owned a Chevrolet dealership in Bristol NH at that time, Cook Chevrolet Oldsmobile.
IF it were ssold new there I would find a way to own it along with my 3 owner Top Flight Survivor 71 LT1.
For everyone else looking to buy a LT1...
Here are some items which could push someone to pull the trigger with the purchase...
Did you send out for the Corvette Owners "credit" card?
ALSO
Do you have any of the following original parts?
The original battery? early 70 battery had a different terminal size thread for negative and positive.
DELCO Battery Vent caps?
Do you have any of the original exhaust?
Original Exhaust TIPS ?
The original SMOG diverter valve?
Plug Wires?
Radiator Cap?
Heater hoses?
Key envelope?
Keys with knock outs?
Warranty Protecto plate?
Original T-top bags
Does it have the original spare?

Sorry I didn't get the text part in.
The car was bought 5/1/70 at Lee Chevrolet in Wellesley Ma.
As you can see I have the protector plate and it was never used. It's still attached to the warranty information. Also the owners manual and radio information manual.
Also a picture of the original build papers.
I have one original key and maybe the second is around the house somewhere. But the center was punched out so it would fit a key ring
I have the original t-top bags plus an extra.
As far as I know the original spare is still tucked up under the car.
The original diverter valve is still on the car and I'm pretty sure the original square chrome tips are too. Also included is at least one car cover.
This Corvette was my wife's daily driver from 1970 to 1974. The majority of the miles was put on in the first 5-10 years and I have been lucky enough to have owned five other Corvettes including a C7 during these years which resulted in it's limited use. I didn't get a Corvette credit card , but they did send me a jacket which I'm pretty sure I still have.
I was 21 when I bought this car and I had no idea I was going to keep it ( thank you rubber nose and rear later C3's). So I don't have the original wires or hoses and battery.

Killer Paper and an AWESOME job keeping it since you were 21... I get chill bumps reading it.
I would be all over this one if I didn't have my car... ALMOST EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR.
For anyone looking, the fact that the car was painted in the 70's and THAT the headlamp surround rivets are not showing indicates the car has not been driven in rainy weather NOR exposed to very much moisture for the last 40 years.
Definitely worth the time for an inspection if someone is looking for a 70.

additional information
I have found out that the original block was planed when it was first rebuilt. SO no matching numbers BUT I have been told that NCRS may allow it to be re-stamped because I have maintained possesion of it. As I recall it had a crack in a cylinder wall from loosing a connecting rod. At the time I chose not to have it resleeved. Also a photo of the original water pump and the shields. Still looking for a good home !

Burning Brakes
Great paperwork Keith; and it all matches up. Your protecto plate shows a lot more information than most think it does. Besides the VIN, It has your engine stamp that was lost, V0106CTU = Jan 6th CTU early LT1, your trans P0A20 = Jan 20 Muncie, H = Holley, 3 = radio, and your rear CFB1206W = 4:11 Dec 6th Warren.
Also the tapes show your name, address, date of warranty start and mileage at that time.

Engine block
What engine ID shows on the engine pad in car, is it a CE block?
if it isn't a CE block what block is it? Evidently the block that is trash was shaved with no numbers showing, it is good to have but it is date code and block number info only.
