Really nice car. The 72 is my favorite C3. Chrome front/rear bumpers and that grill in the fender..... Best of the C3's IMHO.

70, 71, and 72 are virtually identical.

The only exterior visual differences are:
70 - No screws on the bottom of the front grill trim, white front blinker lenses
71 - 2 screws on the bottom of the front grill trim, white front blinker lenses
72 - 2 screws on the bottom of the front grill trim, orange front blinker lenses.

I'd think any details on the engine rebuild (internals) that bumped the HP and torque up nicely would be beneficial.
