Beautiful car. Have the same car except white top & vinyl seats. The car has been in my family since day 1 my parents bought in 1972. You should have flight judged. Getting mine done this spring.you should have no problem getting your price. GLWS.

Hi Steve,
Sorry to hear about your hand. Definitely love yours with the hardtop. My mom when she bought her was offered a hardtop but she declined, she said “it’s a convertible” most of the time the top was always down. She would bring my brother and I to the baseball , football and swim meets in it. Always turned heads.

Too cool, it started with mom and dad, I was like 9 when dad got a yellow 70 T Top, this was around 1972 or 73, dad had several, then my two uncles got into them, I was 17 years old when I got my 1st vette, it was a 71 LT1 conv, this was 1980, I just graduated high school, no body back then knew anything about LT-1's, mine was a vert, Bridgehampton Blue with Blue vinyl interior, that summer we all took a picture together with our corvettes, my dad had a dark blue 77, me with my LT-1, my one uncle with his red red 66 vert and my other uncle with his original 61 black black fuel car he ordered new in Batesville IN, my brother is into them as well, but at that time he just got married and did not have one at that time, lost my dad and my uncle with the 61, now me, my brother and his son have corvettes.

I just purchased a 19 vert, still have the 72 vert, my brother has a 17 grand sport and a 75 yellow L82 vert, which is getting judged at BG this year, his son has a 17 grand sport vert and a super low mile 82, which is getting judged at BG this year, was going to do the 72, but do not want to ship it to the show in June, then my had went bad, oh well I guess that 19 will just have to get me around LOL

Awesome story. Kind of like my Uncle had a 66 convertible, baby blue. Had to sell it because he was getting married. Every time I go & see him, how much do you think my car is worth I said probably over $100,000 and then he shakes his head. Had a 69 L46 convertible, burgundy. Sold it 7 years ago. My wife used to call the “money pit”.

Very nice car! Do you know why the previous owner had to rebuild the engine?

I replied to your PM. Here is the invoice for the rebuild by the previous owner. VERY nice car that appears to have been completely gone through to make it a very nice machine!

Peanuts for what the buyer shall receive.

I wish I had a spare 50k laying around.

How much $$$ was all the service you had done? Just curious 🤔

Not sure I have all of the doc's, have them in a lock box at the bank, I am considering a partial trade plus cash for 17 to 19 Grand Sport, vert or coupe, must be low miles and 2LT minimum, would rather have a 3LT vert auto, this car is too nice, should be in the museum at Bowling green KY, I just can't shift the car anymore
Thx Steve

‘If you Google the vin there is lots of info from previous ads for the car. The work was done by the previous owner and it appears that he went through everything mechanically to make it roadworthy after sitting for 10 years. I think it would make a great cruise night car (contingent upon laying eyes on it in person, of course).
