Default emotional purchase

I agree with that statement. People get caught up in the moment and logic goes out the window. The problem is the seller who may be dishonest is nothing more than a shark trolling for people who have not the benefit of experience and therefore the seller should bear more responsibility for conducting himself honorably because this is what they, the sellers, do everyday. I know a real estate broker that when he sells a property and the buyer is trying to save a few bucks by not being represented by an attorney he goes ahead and pays for one for them. It keeps everything above board.

Someone posted in OT that he changed his ebay account. Good thing, because I was tracking a couple of his cars until I read that thread, which lead me to here. Glad you guys are on this guy!

No problem. He likes to sell his wares in the public square, but hide his identity. We are trying to keep the public square talking so people do not get ripped off.

Reopening the thread after deleting some material that appeared it may have been in conflict with Forum rules.

Before posting further, please review the rules/guidelines on posting threads about unresolved disputes:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...1&forum_id=109

We'll try to leave this thread open as long as it conforms with the rules, does not become a rant and does not become repetitive.

Michael Montrief contacted me expressing concern that personal threats had been implied toward him in some posts at Corvetteforum.com and asking that personal addresses be removed for his safety and that of his family.

I agreed to do so if he would furnish business contact information that could be posted to this thread for the use of those who have posted indicating they have unresolved disputes with him.

Here is that information:

Business address = 1520 Ponderosa Avenue, Costa Mesa, CA.
Cell phone number = (714) 709-6190
E-mail address = montrief@hotmail.com

I also offered to post any response he might have to the complaints made against him in this thread. His response is as follows:

"Unfortunately it is impossible to make everyone happy. It is always those that are upset that make the most noise. When people are happy they rarely feel the need to go out of their way to express it. I have read some complaints that are completely hallow, and others, with whom I have never spoken, have posted nasty messages. I know that most of my customers are satisfied with the product I sell. I have always honored my 48 hour right of rescission provided the customer has contacted me within that timeframe and acted promptly and conscientiously to make the return. There are three sides to every story, your side, their side and the truth. I invite anyone with concerns to e-mail, or call me anytime during normal business hours, I will always do my best to reasonably accommodate any customer. Thank you, Michael Montrief (714) 709-6190"

I'm going to lock this thread to encourage those with unresolved issues with Michael Montrief to resolve those issues with him directly using the contact information he has provided.

I have pointed out to Mr. Montrief that Forum members are allowed to make a factual post on unresolved disputes with other Forum members or with vendors. While these disputes do not appear to involve sales that took place at Corvetteforum.com, I'll be glad to consider allowing factual posts after a good-faith, offline effort is made to resolve the dispute.

Good luck to all parties involved in reaching a satisfactory agreement.
