Default C5 bodykit for C4?

I was reading the corvette trader today and someone said that they had a c5 bodykit on their C4. Has anyone seen this done? It sounds like the rebodying of the old 911 porsches.... Anyone have pics?

There have been a few examples of that kit on this forum.

IMO, if you want a C5, buy one, only a few thousand $ more than a good C4.

They have been out for a while. To do it completely will cost several thousand. You can buy separately or as a kit, the side panels, front and/or rear bumpers, etc. They'll make anything if someone is willing to buy it. I agree with Wayne88. If you want the look of a C5, buy one. The C4's have their own distinguished look. If you like and want the C5 look, get one.

Looks pretty good other than the rear overhang. It would have helped it they tossed 18's on the rear of the car too.

Default i told u

see what did i say? I told u there are a lot of haters on this website. If a man wants to do something unique to his vette, then let him be. why are there so mayn people who hate the guys who do the conversion? I know the freedom of expression, but it makes the guys who do it feel like they are like black sheeps, a vette is a vette, as long as its not multiated like the ones on ebay, they have the right to get props just like any other vette. I know this forum is suppose to help each other out, this guys wants that information, he doesnt want to be bashed by other c4 guys, its time all c generation vettes just got along instead of bashing on one another. I love all model, years, modified vettes, thats just my 2 cents, like i said, if u wanna know about the conversion kit, just private msg me...i can help and not say stupid remarks, good luck

i don't hate anyone at all who's crazy enough to ruin their work of art. if you buy it that way, i suppose thats one thing, but its a whole other world when one spends the ungodly amount of $$ just to trash it up. forget the kit-crap, put your $$ UNDER THE HOOD. i can love someone and still clobber them, its just a simple matter of putting sense into them

The worst thing I've seen with the kits is that they frequently go to the trouble and expense of the kit and installation then they leave C4 wheels on it...That would seem to be the easiest part to "upgrade" to the C5 look... There's an 86 in the for sale section with pics if you wanna see it..

It looks o.k. if it's done right but the parts you'll get will need to be sanded and primed and pinholes filled and on and on. Then for it to be as right as this kit can be you'll need to paint the whole car.

I kind of like them and am thinking of doing it to my '85. I figure it's as close as I am going to get to owning a C5.

And to all you haters, at least he's not thinking of doing this to it!

I think that vette pickup looks cool, i would never buy one but nice to see how it would look as a pickup. as for the C5 body kit, it will cost u thousands to get it on, painting alone will cost thousands aside from actually fitting and installing the kit, if u want my opinion, dont do it, save your money for a c5 and enjoy your C4 the way it is until u get a c5. just my opinion.

Why would you want an ugly big A$$ C5? Go buy one! I thought GM could't get any worse but then comes the C6!
