Default Bent wheel

I have a '96 Colector's Classic with the Z wheels. I had noted a rough ride when cold, but thought that to be the B.F's I'd put on and attributed it to the car sitting a lot. I had my tires balanced, the tech showed me I had a warped or bent wheel on the front. He told me he could send the wheel off to a company in NY, but I'd rather do business close to home if I can. Anyone know of a place in Kentucky that'll straighten the wheel?
Thanks,
Terry terrycwise@kvnet.org

I have never heard of anybody that can straighten a bent wheel anywhere!

There are companies who will repair your wheels. A buddy of mine had his Cobra R wheels repaired last year (thank you Michigan roads, second worst in the country, Missouri is #1). I was going to use them for wheel damage to my BMW convertible, but ended up converting from factory 17's to 18x9.5 Miglias. BOOYEAH! I wish they made them for Vettes....

In the morning I'll get the company name and number for you. The cost was very decent -- and they did a perfect repair.

I think it is the company 89x2 says- Ye Old Wheel Shop. That name seems real familiar.... But I'll double check in the morning. I thought my buddy paid around $125 or so for the repair, to include polishing... Which is a heck of alot cheaper than a new wheel! The Cobra R wheels (though a Ford ) are some very sweet wheels.

I blew out my front tire on my ZR-1 a couple a months ago and bent my "OZ" 3-piece racing rim, and took it to a place here in Dallas and they fixed it for $125.00. Only 2 day turn-a-round. The outer rim pieces are steel and the center is aluminum I think.

Got a business right here in Huntsville that can hook you up. They repaired a bend in my Mustangs alloy wheel.
If interested let me know as I'm not sure how far away you are. They also swap wheels out using yours for a core charge. Seriously though, almost every major city is bound to have such a business. Check w/local Chev Body Shop or better yet at the Corvette Assembly Plant

I don't know Kentucky, but these people straightened a bent 3 piece racing wheel for me. It was about $120 including refinishing.

There is one local to me, and when I went to drop off, a lot of dealers and body shops were dropping off an picking up wheels. But I have heard reports from individuals that seems to indicate different locations have varying quality of results.

There is a company here in Michigan located in Livonia called Weldcraft. They do really good work and can fix aluminum wheels.
