My friend just got a brand new M3 6 speed coupe, after he breaks it in and i get my new tires on were gunna run, maybe for a little $$.
My mods are in my sig, plus i recently installed a little bit higher stall converter. My prediction is he will beat me off the line but by the time hes in 3rd ill be pullin away.

I handled a 2001-ish M3 in my LT-4.
I think they are rated at 333hp and published ETs in the 13.1 to 13.3 range. I really like the M3 and considered getting one before I bought this vette.
Have fun, but do it at the track.
[edit] I just looked at your sig. It looks like 13.54 is your best ET. I think a decent driver in an M3 would be quicker than that or REALLY close.
Remember, at the track, not everyone is good on the tree, so if you get the holeshot, you might just smoke him. If you are in an automatic, you should take him from the get go, but he might pull on you at the top end.

I beat one at GLD. I treed him and got at least a car length and a half on him but he hung right there down the whole ¼ mile. I have it on video somewhere. You can actually hear someone in the crowd go "Dayum".

and of course it will be on the track...
I think just the opposite.
You should get him off the line and he will pull you by the middle of 2nd, if you are auto.

I'd like to see that video. I rode in an M3 once and I don't remember them being that impressive. I'd almost have a hard time believing that they can perform as claimed here in this thread... but one person's doubt against everyone elses facts ... I guess I will be aware of the next M3 I try to roll on.

I'll try and find it but I have to organize and find my videos first. This race was before I did the top end so the car was running 13.6 or so at the time.
