Hello, I am considering selling my 1991 Corvette. What is a fair price for one in the following condition?
135,000 miles
Needs paint and some fiberglass work where the antenna was.
Interior is good except the drivers seat needs to be recovered and a few other minor things.
Has both tops but the glass one has a small chip that doens't affect water tightness and the "splinters" in the plexi.
Powertrain needs work. The guy before me had tried to do some engine mods with no plan. Thus it does not run strong. It does run ok, just seems weak. Leaks oil around the valve covers. He had also put on aftermarket valve covers. I think it may also have a small trans fluid leak at the pan, but I can't get under there to look.
It has siamesed runners, SVO injectors, bigger throttle body, wide mouth air intake, airpump and egr removed, 3.73 gears, exhaust cut outs, etc...
The tires are good and it has aftermarket wheels. I think they are called a-molds???
The electronic climate control is not directing airflow properly.
Bose CD audio seems to be in good working order as are the electric seats and air bladders. (I think. I have never had a Vette before this one)
Anyway, I have some pics but am not sure how to post them.
I am not sure what I should expect to be able to get. I am just trying to decide if I should sell or restore. I really don't have the time or funds to work on the car much so it is just sitting. Any thoughts are appreciated!
ive been looking on ebay pretty regularly in the past 3 months for a decent daily driver. from what you described, corvettes in that range have been going fo between 4,500 and 7,500... good luck
