OK, in an attempt to get my 94 Vette as clean as possible, I had the great (sarcasm) idea to vacuum my headliner. Well, now it sags and touches the top of my head when sitting in the drivers seat.
I decided to take the headliner portion off to see if I can reglue it. Well, this is messy, and not looking like something I can fix easily. Does anyone sell the cushion piece with the headliner material already attached so all I have to do is reglue a new one up there?
Thanks, and learn from my stupidity, don't vacuum the headliner!
Greg
Real easy. Gently remove the headliner board with a wide putty knife. Clean all old glue foam backing off with a bristle brush. Wash with a clean cloth and wax/ grease remover. Buy a can of 3M headliner glue and a yard of material in your color at Cloth World. Takes about an hour and your back like new.
