Isn't the C4 chassis manufactured from a more rust resistant material?
Galvanized steel and some aluminum parts? I'd hope that when they made the C4 chassis's they would have taken advantage of some of the advances made in metalurgy.

On the C6 they certainly did. Go google some frame shots, man without the badges on the wheels/steering wheel, I'd have sworn it was a 250k exotic... All aluminum frame, looks like it came from 2020 :O
