Default one fat ugly butt

Just my 2c, but the a$$ on the C5 was fat, ugly and humungus and as far as I'm concerned the C6 isn't a whole lot better. The headlights suck also. Not that there not hide-away, but those little beady eyes look like crap. I can always notice a vette (all years) quickly with just a glance, but not the C6, they look like a Toyota, Mitsu or Porche. They don't catch my eye. I have really wanted to buy a new vette for years and was I hoping the C6 would be better than it is body wise. I am really disappointed in GM's design team. I would'nt get rid of the C4 or C3, just add too it. Will hold out for the C7. Just venting, I know others are drooling, but each to it's own.

I believe the 'design' of the C5 and C6 rear ends where the work of more engineering than design. If I'm not mistaken the shape was part of the entire body flow to get the coefficient drag down to minimum values. I believe performance and engineering won out of design.

As far as the C6 body it more resembles a C3 and C4 then a C5. They brought back a lot of the sharp edges that were rounded out in the C5.

Personally I like the C6 Vert. As you said I would not get rid of my C4 just add a newer model to the stable. Maybe someday a 06 C6 Vert would be in the plans. Let them have a year or two to work the bugs out.

Why not? It's Corvette related and I also happen to feel that the rear ends of the C5 and the C6 are fat. Not to say I would'nt trade straight across for a shiny new C6, mind you.

I don't see where this debate matters... what's done is done.

So be it...

ahh, here's my chance to again rant about how much i despise the C5, bodywise --- and I mean in its entirety. I see no redeeming quality, not in one single damned angle. The roundness of everything makes me upchuck. I hated it the day it came out, and I've loathed it exponentially ever since.

I wouldn't take a C5 if it was GIVEN to me.

However, I'm one of those whole actually drool over the C6. Halleleujah, many of the angles have come back. The rear hatch window has alot in common with the beloved C3. Whoa we finally got corvette fenders back --- there is actually SEX back into it again!

The C5 is like a big fat ugly freaking flaccid *****.

Someday, I would LOVE a C6 next to my C4.....and a gorgeous super sexy '70 LT1.

When you start waving to Toyotas, then you know something went wrong with the C6 design

I like the c6 verts except for the front end the hood suck and so do the lights and grill.

the lights look like eyes, the symbol is a nose, and the grill looks like a big whale smiling at you! now when I see that front I see that FACE but besides the front end I love the car.

I agree that the C5's rear was too big. The C6 did a little better in that department, but still not enough. The front has always been nice on Corvette, rears... not so much. The early 50's, middle 70's and now this.

The evolution of the Corvette from the 1984 C4's into the C5 is like a sexy young woman turning into a middle aged lady. Going from a nice thin fast lookin' body to a big *** b*tch. With the C6 she started going on a diet and it looks promising if she sticks with it. However, she doesn't get any younger, so I doubt she will ever look like she did when she was 84

Most people on the road will only see the tail-lights anyway, so who cares??

Well, this is C6 related, so what is it doing here?

Personally the new Z06 is one bad *** machine and looks awesome.

Pics don't do it justice, you need to see it in person.

I swore I'd never give up either of my C4's for anything, but for the new Z I just might have to.

It's that nice.
