I have gone from stock to plastic kits with replacable bulbs to SS. While improved,I am not overly impressed with any of the so-called brighter lights. Would love to see Hellas. I won't spring for that kind of money for something that is only marginally better than what I have. I didn't answer your question but did share some experiences.
Go for e-spec Hella reflectors too, the lighting pattern is better and you wont blind oncoming drivers (at least on your low-beams, turn the high beams on and you might invite some road rage incidents...)
The best setup ever (and i currently have) is daniel sterns setup.
Do an internet search for daniel stern lighting.
He set me up with Bosch e-specs reflectors (better than hellas), Narva 100/130 watt clear bulbs AND a relay kit to install 10 gauge wiring directly off the battery to the headlights.

When I was growing up my dad installed aircraft landing lights for his high beams on his 73! Man you could literally see for miles on a deserted hwy. I think he was in danger of igniting the grass on the side of the road!
I also have a 93. I took the wagner's out and put Hella's in and used the bulb they provided.
The light pattern is much better
The lights are brighter
Were a snap to put in
I would recommemd going that way with the Hella's and bulbs before you spend a lot of money on 80/100 etc. I found the improvement was more than acceptable and am glad I tryed this set up before I went off on a wild tanget spending even more money

I had those on a car once too years ago. Illegal as hell but they literally lit up the road ahead and even a good distance to the side like daytime. Great for when some butthead wouldn't dim their brights. If I turned them on (if they ignored the normal warning) I guaran-damn-tee you they would dim them then!
I don't drive much at night, but just wanted to be prepared. So I went cheap and bought the Silverstars. Seem pretty good - bright and well focused beam.
But they have a limited life. They estimate 1 year of normal driving. Check that out at their website..
