Just changed the shocks today. I removed delco Bilsteins and replaced them with KYB's. Did the 93'corvett come from the factory with delco bilsteins? I was wondering if these might be original equipment. I hope the new shocks will improve the ride over rough pavement. Thanks for any info or comments.
If you just changed 11 year old shocks, you are guaranteed to feel a difference in the ride; Especially if you went with KYB's. I put them in a Mustang quite a while ago and they are an excellent shock for the money. It was a 66 Stang and it greatly improved the ride. Sad to say, I no longer own it. If it was a 66 Vette, you could bet I still would.

I pulled my original Delco Bilsteins off and saved them shortly after I bought my car. I too replaced with KYBs and have been very pleased with them for 20K miles. When their useful days are over, I'll have had the Bilsteins rebuilt to my specs and reinstall them.
Would you guys say that the KYBs are a firmer ride than the base bilstein units? Mine are too "cadillac" like, yet it sounds like with the Z52 shocks, I'll never get through a CD, as it skips too easily now. Something in the middle would be good.
