The birds have all flown south, and I would be already tee'd off if there were oil flying around. Around here it's the crud from the night before that gets hit by the sun and destroys the view out the windshield. A driver can easily notice this and clean it off before he (or she) is in the left lane going 80. I'm tempted to relate my experience from yesterday, but I'll drop it here.
My C4 was a DD for a quite a while, still is semi-DD. If I worked closer, I'd drive it everyday, but since I work 30 miles away, I drive my car that gets 30mpg But I still do drive my vette on fridays
BTW: CentralCoaster knows how my vette looks as a DD.
My 93 is a daily driver, actually its a 100% driver, that is it's the only car I have. The only time its dirty is when we have rain and even then sometimes before I pull into the garage I rinse it off.
Having been driving her for almost 4 years now, I couldn't think of any other car I would want to drive on a daily basis. That's the whole idea of owning a vette, my lust to drive her.
I know a few who have C4's and they rarely drive them. But they also rarely wash or clean them and mine looks showroom compared to theirs.
I also use mine as a daily driver and wash it a lot. Every time it is dirty. I think it is as clean as most that just set somewhere. Corvettes should be driven. If you want one to just look at and shine, Buy a Franklin Mint.
My 92 is a DD, and is the only car I own. I drive it every day, even here in the New England winter. It gets all covered in sand and salt, but I wash it whenever I can. If you don't like the thought of using a C4 for a DD, then don't do it.
