Default Questions on Spark Plug Wire replacement

I am replacing the spark plug wires on my 96 LT-1 vette. The right side went OK,but on the left side the belt tensioner assembly is in the way to get at the Opti-spark, to remove the wires. Is their any precautions I should know about, before talking off the belt tensioner assembly. Like will it recoil or should I mark it somehow. Thanks in advance.

Tensioner R/R is straightforward. No hidden gotchas that I can recall. It does make the wires easier.

I took the tensioner off. No tricks involved. It is only held on by one bolt. I took the pully off first. When you put it back on there is a tit that you fit into a indent in the block to make sure it is lined up right.

After doing the wires by removing the tensioner, that is the only way to do it.
