Digital cluster question
Got a used cluster a couple weeks back, everthings works pretty good. It appears that the cluster was from a stick car because it has the upshift arrow and one to four light. Anybody know if I can disconnect the one to four display. I have an auto 84 and don't need the indicator telling me to shift.

I think they all had the upshift light (arrow)and the OD light, mines an 87 auto and it has it, another member with an auto also has it in his. I think they were just for fuel economy savings.Both ours kept comming on-at least until I replaced my fuel pump.Don't know about the 1-4.

Since you have a spare maybe you can dismantle the assembly and use some black paint and BlackOut the the upshift indicator? I considered doing this to that stupid label about using unleaded gas. Like where can anyone find leaded gas these days. But I figured I was just being **** and choose to simply ignore the message.
There is not a bulb for the upshift indicator. Only the bright lite and turnsignals use bulbs.

I also have an 87 automatic and have the upshift arrow. The bulb near by I think bleeds over and you can see the outline clearly...but its not lit up... I believe it would go on after an extended ride at highway speeds if not shifted into OD...although I could be wrong on that
