do an ebay search for 1986 corvette shop manual and you will see several.theres one tattered one going for 26 bucks.probly just fine.
try posting over in tech and tune for tips on your cold start problem.
it might be something simple but these vettes are a little "year specific" when it comes to diagnosing driveability problems in general.
maybe someone with an 86 will chime in.
also keep in mind its always best to start a new thread with a hint of a question in its topic.
that way you will get a lot more people looking at it who might have the answers.
many of us just pass over threads weve already viewed....
the solutions to all those questions are right here for the asking

your gonna love this place.i know it helped me immensely when i first got my car.
also, myself and many others here did the same thing you did when buying.succumbed to the overall coolness of the first one we sat in and bought it

we now always advise people to shop around and try a few out lol.i lucked out and got a good clean low mileage one,but paid a little more than i had to.

It is something else entirely in the fact that it is so much better. Save your quarters for the Helms/GM factory manual.
