What does the cinch button do?It is the button on the retractor housing of the seat belt.I can't believe I have owned this car for over 2 years and never noticed this before.
You use it to stop the belt from loosening when you drive. It still retracts, but doesn't come out further. Good for racing so that you don't slide around in your seat.
It makes the seat belt "lock". That way it wont let you lean forward.
I had mine for over a year and did not know it was there until I pulled the seats out

Really??!! Mine must be broken; it locks the lap belt but not the shoulder belt, so I can still lean forward.
My question now has to be: Does the 'cinch' button lock the shoulder belt too??

If you are doing any spirited driving then suck in your gut, push the button and push the belt in. Then inflate the sport seat bolsters/lumbar and bump the seat forward a bit. OMG, shouldn't be eating those donuts anymore!
