Just went through emissions test-tester said slow down, apply brakes and put it in park-damn Anti Lock light comes on. I'll check the control module connections, brake fuse and guage fuse today. Anything else I should check. BTW-I think my brake fluid may be a little low-any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
The ECM may have seen an extreme difference between the rear wheels turning and the front wheels being stopped. The wheel speed sensors most likely fed widely different values to the ECM and that may have set the ABS light. Also the very quick stop of the rear wheels on the test equipment may have caused the light to come on.
If there is no problems with the ABS pump itself, an on/off ignition cycle should have turned the light off. And the fulid level being even a 1/4 low my set the light. But that will typically happen as you brake hard on the street and the fluid in the reservoir moves around and uncovers the sensor.
