What is it with all the they sell for our corvettes ?? Open up one of the corvette catalogs and in the performance section it's an air foil,
a k.n. filter a cut lid which is a free mod. Throttle performance switch,
hypertech chip and the list goers on. No intakes, no heads cams or rockers. Pages of floor mats and a great selection of valve stem caps.
There is no shortage of wings, ground effects and all sorts hats t shirts
and and signs and posters. Now it's l.e.d. lights anything but hard parts to make the car perform. This says something about the average corvette owner because these places stay in buisness selling this stuff.
Even summit racing has nearly nothing for the lt1 but lots of shift *****. rant over

That's funny. I think the C4 crowd is turning the corner much like the early C3 crowd already has. We are becoming more purists or racres, very little in between. I think that's a good thing.

Think about it. If people are dumb enough to buy this crap, sell it!
Real performance modifications do exist you just have to know where to look for them. The LT1 in particular isn't all that different from a normal small block. Nobody makes an aftermarket intake for it because there is no need. Heads and cams are readily available as are superchargers and nitrous. The drivetrain is a little funny because of it's complexity but still not too bad. You won't see aluminum driveshafts in the summit catalog for the C4 because it was aluminum from the factory, etc.

While it is true that there is a plethora of look good items in those catalogs with few real performance parts, remember that it doesn't hurt to keep you car looking fine and to be "looking good" while driving it.
