Yeah, talk about irony.

Maybe I say things like this because I dont flame people for doing what they want to do to thier ride. Comedy is one thing, but I dont think thats where your comming from. Show some respect to other people here that want to try out some new things....."rice" is such a silly, intentionally demeaning term to describe something you think you know about. ......oh no, I can already hear a Darth Vader post "What do you think is Rice" comming....
I think we all jacked this guys thread...my apolgies to the original thread poster.

Obviously someone with the user name snoopdan is going to like the 20's and vertical doors. It's just ironic to me that your going off about everyone who doesn't like this stuff. Your doing the same thing.
Exactly my thoughts he is all on me but yet calls mine plain LOL! Thats a good comment to me thought I don't want stickers, wings, boom boom speakers like our friend snooooooooooooop! LOL
If people stay into this brothered up fast and furious fad we will be seeing vettes on spinners... if I ever see that I'm getting out at the stop light and punching them right in the nose for doing that to a VETTE.
Yeah I can just see a 67 vert bb owner doing this crap to his and yeah ours aren't collectable but they're nice cars well were when new before people messed with them and a nice clean vette looks so good why mess with it?
WHAT AM I IMPLYING? Same thing you did.

Now you say you don't flame people

No. I agreed with everyone else that the car in the original thread was queer looking with the rear wing. Somone else associated your name with that thread, not I. I've never seen your car, so you'd have to actually start a new thread for me to even consider making fun of it. Someone had already beat me to that. So next time, when you assume you know what you are talking about, dont - read your own thread replies again to make sure you know what you are talking about before looking like a putz.
snoopdan
vettes weren't meant for this sorry
And in case I did'nt make myself clear

yeah, me too. Anyone who sees my nick instanty thinks I listen to rap music, four 15" subwoofers, and have 22" daytons on my car. Hell, I probably have the most plainest and unrememberable car on the forum.
Anyways, enough of the crap....an answer to your question is.....Turner Racing (http://www.tunerracing.com) apparently has a kit for c4 vertical doors. It appears to be a basic version with 2 air struts (exactly like the ones on a hatchback) that hold up 300 lbs per side...I dont know what a c4 door weighs, but im guessing thats close to whats needed.
Now, for the 20" wheel debate, well... if that's what you're into, go for it. Myself, I don't think 20" wheels are that bad, except that the styling of most of them is just plain ugly..period. Of course, looking at it the other way, how cool would it be to have a real HotWheels car to drive? My 7 year old would think it's cool, and I'd tend to agree (and who among us didn't play with HotWheels?)
Most of us survivors of the 70's remember the "pimpmobiles" that came out of the ghetto, and of course they were ugly then. Also, the "Ricky Racer" look was popular.... you know, the air shocked, long shackle rearend about 3 feet in the air with the biggest, stupidest looking tires you could find sticking out of the wheelwells. Some of us preferred to fit as much tire under the wheelwells as we could without them sticking out. And yes, we had cars with shaved door handles then too. I knew a guy with a Firebird that had them... he was bummed when his battery died, though
Times change, and for the moment, the ghetto lifestyle look is popular with the younger generation, as evidenced by what's out on the street. But the schools of thought on what's cool are still the same... not everybody agrees with each other.
Shaved door handles are cool, lowering (correctly) is cool. The "autocross look" is cool. Having a 100 point concours car is cool. It all depends on your point of view. I look at some of the older cars with "dubs" on them and just shake my head though.... Nothing like an '87 Monte Carlo that looks like a 4-wheel drive truck. But somebody thinks it's cool...

Actually thats pretty damn funny.
But you're still selectivly reading my posts, dont forget to re-read my thread reply to you, outlining in a thread showing I didnt say anything ill about your car's wing. Then maybe you'll realize that you've been 0wn3d.

If anything has come out of this thread, its RacerX70CC's perspective. and if anything, I agree. So lock this thread, kill it, burn the hard drive...its just not worth replying to anymore.

it's no the 80's anymore night rider wannabe

We both have black vettes. Now I will have to pass this thread on to him

I do not think it would take away from the look of the car.
I on the other hand like my vettes pure stock.
