Default Finally picked it up...

I was finally able to pick it up this weekend.

This makes my 3rd C4. My other two were L98s. This one, being a '94, is obviously an LT1. Holysmackers, this thing flat out gets it, and with the ASR off, the 6 speed makes for some serious fun.

All of 72k miles, excellent condition, everything works. A previous owner somewhere down the line painted the part between the front/side signals.

The car belonged to my best friend, and he was pulling off the silver GS stripes he put on it, but stopped after the 1st stripe because it was such a pain. I already have the black stripes, but I'm contemplating how it would look with one black and one silver. Undecided still, but somethin' to think about.

Default Congratulations

Congratulations on the new ride. Glad to hear you found the 6 speed. Always wondered why the majority are sold new as autos, but the second owner/resale market seems to lust after the manuals. I've been told the autos are faster, but the 6 speeds are sure fun. Good luck.

Good choice of models!
I think the two different color hash marks would be unique...

I really believe that many people want to own a Corvette and some of those people never learned how to drive a manual, so they have no choice but to get an auto. My opinion is any high-performance sports car, like the Corvette, should be a manual.

No, the auto has been the better selling trans since 1971 in vettes. They're quicker and much much better in traffic and lets admitt it the roads are a lot more packed than the 1950's which is why the auto STILL out sells the manual.

I've had manuals this is my take on them 1st 6 months wow cool after that gimme a dang auto!

manual in traffic = yay bout to hit 2nd gear! oops 2nd is a bit too fast back to 1st oops too slow back up to 2nd crap back to 1st holy cow i got to hit 3rd! you can never find the right gear when you're in any kinda traffic at all

it's also a + to feel that auto shift down when you stomp and take off like a rocket. I also like running quicker times at the track compared to the same car but a manual stock for stock

sorry just get so tired of hearing the down talk to autos when the only upside to manuals is on the auto x track really.
