Do you remember a few months back, a guy ("company") from some European country, Belgium maybe, made a couple posts here on Corvette Forum asking for someone to donate a factory 6-speed shift boot, and in return would receive a free aftermarket one (made by his company)? IIRC, the guy was "RedlineGoods" or something to that effect.

Anyway, at the time I offered to send mine is as a donor, but I heard back that he already had one. This was several months ago... Just a few weeks ago, I got an email from the guy asking if I was still interested in buying one. I asked if he could supply pictures, and he said "No pictures, but I can offer you a discount - $15."

I immediately smelled scam, so I'm wondering:

1) Did anybody actually send their shiftboot in *and* receive it back?
2) Has anybody else ordered from this company?
3) If it is legit, how's the quality?

My OE boot is getting old, so I wouldn't mind trying something new. It's just that whenever there's a new product for our cars, it's almost always discussed here on the forums (reference Big Mouth, R-D Racing products, Vararam C4 intake, etc.). With respect to RedlineGoods, I haven't heard a single thing, so that's why I smelled scam...

You can easily redo the shift boot your self I made a shift boot and recovered my shift **** and visors in Black leather for $10. and a few hours. Visors and shift boot look awesome. I could have done a better job on the **** though. But alot cheaper than buying newones.
