I just got off the phone with over 40 different salvage yard looking for this and none have it some laughed at me for even asking.
I need a flame Red drivers sport seat in GOOD condition. My wire is showing through the butt rub spot and the plastic back is nasty. I could settle for the bottom cushion thought it is what looks the worst. Can anybody help? I know I can get replacement covers and foam but want to find a complete seat or bottom
Thought I was pretty clear. My passenger seat is fine dont want to pay for a set of anything. My plastic Seat back driverside is stained(but I can live with it if I have to) I want a used one because they fade over time.Seats(after market) ARE NOT cheap for a set.All I need is a good sport bottom but I would like the whole seat. The salvage yards said if they had one it would be around $350
I just repaired the driver's seat in my Alpha Romeo. I took the seat out and removed the covers. I carried them across the border and found an exact match on material. The guy charged me a total of $30 to take them apart and sew the new material and foam back together. It took a couple hours. They look just like new.
You can get a seat repair AND a winter vacation for the price some of the local suppliers want.

Try a local auto upholstery shop. You might be suprised what they can come up with. Mine matched up a new bolster and center console for my 17 year old Vette with sport seats and it cost just over $50.

if it's Mexico, you gotta be a little careful. Way back in the old days I took my surfbus VW thrasher to get it upholstered and painted. I stupidly prepaid both shops and went on to go find beer, women and beaches (not necessarily in that order). A week later I came back to get the bus. Yep, the seats were stuffed with straw and the paint was the wrong color.
Oh, and they ran out of paint after shooting the front, back, and one side, so they parallel parked it an inch from a big concrete wall hoping I would just get in and drive away without noticing.
Actually, for the cheap money they charged, it was still a good deal, sort of. After that, everybody knew my bus from Ensenada to Santa Barbara. It was the one that was yellow on one side and green on the other, and had the real sharp tuck and roll interior that interested horses.
But don't try that with your Corvette. It might not be so amusing.
