Help please
Guys i have a 85 vette. but the car has aluminum heads. and a 1pc rear main seal whats up with that. the car only has 79000 miles on it. the block has all new freeze plugs the numbers on the heads are 17981 the numbers on the block are 14093638 the vin is1g1yy0789f5117085 
My well I just want to know what motor I have so when I buy parts I can get the right stuff

I don't have the NCRS Specifications Guide or Judging Manual for the C4s, but you might find your answer in the tech section or in the reference manuals NCRS has for your MY. I understand its a L98. My question is did this car come stock with a one peice rear main seal in 85 also in 85 did they use aluminum heads. To me the motor doesnt seem to match the car. It is a Vette motor just a newer motor i was wondering if some one could use those number i gave to tell me what I have.
