Passive keyless entry
I have a passive keyless entry that does not work any more. I was on my way home when I came up to a stop light when all of a sudden the doors locks started to lock and unlock a few times and then the back hatch opened up. Of course there was a lot of traffic around so everbody saw the hatch go up it was kind of funny. Got through the light closed the hatch and then found out passive keyless did not work plus keyless will not unlock any more. I checked out what to do in the manuels but no luck plus checked all the fuses. Any help would be nice thanks.

your PKE receiver has probably gone south on you...mine was doing the same thing for a while, and finally that was the diagnosis....replacing the unit looks like it would be a real PITA, so for now i've adopted the LMI system (Let Myself In) and left the key fob on the dresser..

My 94 did the same thing the first year I had her (2001). After replacing the battery & reprogramming it without success, I took it to a dealer who wanted to charge me big $$$ to fix it. So, I just pulled the fuse and have done okwithout it ever since. I never liked it anyway.

Hey thanks for the info. I had heard it might not be a easy one plus could get kind of expensive. So that takes care of that. Now if we could get some nice weather I could drive it.
