Interesting Thread
Mojo, if this is bad ediquette I'm sorry.
Thought you guys would get a kick out of this from the boating board I frequent:

Allot of my comments are just to irritate this idiot. Don't take them seriously, like being a 13.2 car.

I like my vette no matter how fast or slow it is. I like the rattles too. To each their own and remember there is always someone faster than you.

Yeah, that's me John. I have been rather quiet here, but over there I tend to a bit more aggressive and vocal.

eh.... ive liked corvettes since i first got hotwheels in 83. I think if you were comparing corvettes to mustangs in the 66 - 70 era, it would be a difficult choice for me, but after 71 or so there hasnt been an attractive mustang yet built, save for the brand new one which is fairly nice looking.
GNX, though worthy of respect, just isnt a pretty car. (imho)

I thought the Vette v Mustang argument was interesting too. It seems to me that from a practical standpoint, there us nothing to debate.
I was shopping for a new Mustang when I bough my used Corvette. Ford wanted $30K for the new GT; I paid 15K for a 93 Vette with 35K miles.
I chose that route because I would have lost $15K in two years if I had bought the Mustang. I cannot lose $15K on the Vette - ever.
In fact, in 5 years, the Vette should be worth more than the Mustang.
There's more to the "bottom line" than a fraction of a second in a quarter mile.

Everyone is an expert on what cars will run they don't own. The magazine tests all show the 93 vette going 13.9 or 14.0 and mine went
13.4 and mojo's car was even quicker 13.2 I think. That's with the 2.59 rears. It doesn't take much to get one into the 12's at all. I agree with snoopdan I want my 5 minutes back.
