Default Lt4 Or Not

I am in the process of purchasing a 1996 LT4 convertible. The only thig that worries me is if it is an original LT4. The reason I say that is the owner has a window sticker that states the $1450 LT4 option as follows: "5.7L SFI V8". I have seen other stickers that state it as "5.7L SFI V8 330 HP ENGINE". Does anyone out there have a LT4 sticker that can verify what it says. By the way, the VIN does have a "5" as the 8th digit. Everything seems fine except that 1 detail on the sticker. Thanks for everyone's help on this. Scott

I wouldn't worry about that. The VIN gives you the DNA not the window sticker. Just verify that the actual VIN plate has a "5" on the eight digit.

Besides the VIN you can also pop the oil cap and shine a flash light in there and you will see LT4 stamped on the head too!

or if it has a ZF6.....but the only way to verify that it's an "original" LT4 is by the VIN.

Or a copy of the build sheet, see mine below. Clearly states LT4.
