I have a friend who is selling a 96 CE with 21k on the clock. I don't
know much about the car other then that. I am assuming it is stock
and in great shape. I havn't been looking to buy a Lt1 C4 but he
want's to know what I think the car is worth. Any imput from the forum
would be wonderful.
I think a littel more info will be needed before someone can give a good estimate (a pic or two would help also). What shape is the body/paint? What shape is the interrior? How does it run? etc. All of this and more make a big difference in the value.
I assume it's a coupe right? the CE really doesn't add much value at all so with the given info a nice cond 96 coupe with low miles (21k) will bring about 17k.
I have never seen the car and what I gave you guys is all the info I have on the car.
Here is the exact e-mail I recieved:

I'd be in heaven if I could get 21 for mine and it would most likely be up for sale. I would think anywhere from 14 to 17, depending on condition would be a fairly accurate guestimate right now, considering the market, timing, etc. It's a buyers market right now.

The milage is 21,000. This car is going to be a sold at a dealer so I was thinking of telling him price it at 20 take 17

That's what I would suggest. I paid $17 for mine with 28k. I think that is reasonable with those miles especially with the LT1. don't be suprised to see lower offers though. From what I've seen, I paid on the high side adn I got an LT4

It can't hurt, but dealers wont pay all the money.
The car thats listed here has an asking price of $14,000 $13,000 would buy it its been listed twice in the last 2 months.
Being a beach town Corvettes don't do well here?
Price depends on where you live.
If the cars on consignment becareful, you have to surrender the title.
Check the dealer out really well.
Mileage when you sell its important when you buy its important, but the dealer will give you nothing for it when you trade????????
