got out the "neverdull" metal polish Saturday and popped the hood...attacked all the aluminum...hose connections, tubing, upper control arms, etc.....man, what a difference!!!!....if the sun hits it just right, it'll put a hurt on the MK1 MOD 0 eyeball!!!!....try it, you'll like it!!!!

Does it work on the alternator? Nothing seems to brighten up that alloy the alternator is made of.
I couldn't get it to do anything to the alternator, the AC compressoror the computer case, but on all the aluminum tubing and the AC dryer it did wonders.

It is a "wadding" metal polish. Like almost raw cotton fiber impregnated with a polishing chemical. GReat stuff, it's been around since I was a kid in the 60's. I buy mine at Walmart, Eagle One brand "The original NEVR-DULL wadding polish".
