she has a 92 or 93 vette and today it started acting really weird. she was driving to the airport and the digital stuff on her dash started flashing and going on and off, she pulled off on an exit and truned her car of. when she tried to turn it on it wouldn't start for a while. Anyone know what the problem might be?

Check the fuses. A friend of mine had the same thing and it turned out to be the airbag fuse.

If the SYS and Security flashed and the car would not start after it was turned off, the most probable failure is the serial communication link due to a ECM, wire, or CCM in that order. The reason the car will not start is that the serial handshake between the ECM and CCM failed and the fuel system is not enabled for a start. The car will run with the fault but will not start (Security to provide theft protection). If the car started after the lights went off, this confirms the fuel was enabled and the fault was not present.
That's the first thing I thought of. I was thinking that maybe the cables were loose and the connection was internittent causing erratic behavior. A loose cable would cause this exact problem, but there could obviously be other reasons for this to occur.
The first and easiest thing to check are the battery cable connections and look for corrosion.
