What the heck is going on in the northeast???? I want to get the old 88 on the road for the first time in months, but still it continues. More snow possible this weekend supposedly..I also have two door panels, carpet, and weather strip to replace, with the parts sitting in the cellar waiting for a little warmth. Sorry, just a rant!!!

Aw, stop crabbin' Up here on the NH border, we got 16" or so on Saturday. Rhode Island got off easy. You'll be doin' burnouts while I'm still making snow angels . Meanwhile, the guys on the Great Lakes probably can't see out their first floor windows yet .

well, while you guys have your Vettes safely hibernating for the winter, I am driving around 12 months per year here in Texas, racking up the miles on the odometer!!

I found what might have been "my" C4 in Phoenix and couldn't figure how to get it to OH without driving thru salt slush-can't afford a closed haul. I was hoping the snow would quit before it sold. Owner sold it to a dealer after 2 weeks. They jacked up the price by $3200 and probably screwed it up with their "detailing" i.e. armorall smeared all over the interior, oil sprayed all over the engine compartment and to really top it off they claim they steam clean all their cars (forces water past seals into bearings, u-joints, electrical connectors and frame joints.) Somehow I don't think a car born and raised in the AZ desert needs steamcleaned-that's something one does to semis and industrial machinery not cars!! If this hadn't been the worst winter in 10 years, I'd probably have my car now. Pardon me if I don't want to hear about your climate right now, I'm busy
I lived in AZ for 12 years and you are correct. There are no parts on a car that ever need to be steamcleaned. The only thing you need to be concerned with is any rubber under the hood. Because of the extreme desert heat in many parts of AZ, rubber rapidly deteriorates. Oil should be changed frequently due to the extreme dust. The good thing about AZ is nothing ever rusts. But on Corvettes, there's not much metal to rust.
But now, I'm in FL and I can happily drive my car 12 months a year. I feel for you guys that cannot or choose not to drive your cars due to inclement weather. I also lived in NY for 10 years and I know what snow and salt can do to a car. It's not a pretty picture.

i know how you feel. my vette has been down for the last 9 of 12 months, right now the body is staring at 4 corners of my mechanic's shop, while the engine is apart at the machine shop.
looks like another 2 months down...........missed last summer, hopefully this summer i'll actually have a corvette.
Its supposed to snow 6-10 inches here in Eau Claire WI tonight (west central wisconsin) and its really starting to **** me off. I need to get out and drive but even when all the snow melts i need it to rain a few times to clear off all the horrible salt
