Default Headlight Questions

Two of them, to be exact, on my '92 vert.

1) Bright light indicator inside the car stays on all the time (except when the lights are turned off) regardless of whether the lights are on bright or dim. Drivers side head lamp is normal till I hit the highs, and it gets bright. Passengers side is dim, but gets somewhat brighter when I hit the highs. There is a very noticable difference between the two either way.

2) Passenger side motor runs for about 4 or 5 seconds after the head lamp has reached it's proper position. I know for certain it does this when I'm turning the lights off, but because I'm usually on the road when I turn them on, I'm not sure if it does it when I first turn them on.

Any suggestions?

Cheers!

Sounds like a ground problem, Remove, clean and replace the ground poins, expecially the ones that ground the dash area.

Your high beam lamp stays on because the ground wire from one or both of your headlamps has a poor connection to ground. Each headlamp has a black wire on the headlamp socket that goes to a chassis ground. You need to find each screw that black wire is under and clean the corrosion on the screw hole and either clean the screw or use a new screw .
