Question on ABS
I have an '89 and recently I hear a groan or rrrrrrrrr sound when I start up. Someone suggested that the noise is coming from the ABS system. Is this accurate? Is it telling me I need to change the ABS pump? Thanks for any help you can give.

89 Abs
Have you had the 89 for a while, and did it make the noise before? You should get the usual noise of the ABS re-setting itself. I hear it just when putting in reverse backing out, hear the noise, brake pedal gives a little nudge.
If someone has more knowledge about the ABS "re-setting" itself, correct me on this one, as I am not sure about that, not being a mechanic.

The ABS system makes a rrrr sound when you hit 4mph after startup, thats normal.
I dont know if thats what youre hearing though.
