Took my stock sawblades and tires down to the Tire Center. Paid to have 4 Kumho Ecsta 712s ordered and had the the old Protenzas dismounted so I could have the rims media blasted. Turns out that one of the 2 previous owners had replaced at least one of the rims. I know this because during the process, the tech had a problem getting the DS rear tire off. Felt like it was caught on something. Turned out to be a LTPW sensor!! Yep, only one was found and my car does not have that option according to the RPO codes in the console. Just something else to hang in the garage.

i wish my had those. the guy i bought mine from put run flats on with out the sensors and sure enough i ran over a nail and had no idea and when i hit a bump my tire came apart around the endges fliped up and took a little chunk out of my rear fender. luck for my a sweet lady smashed in to me a month later and i got it all replaced for free.
Yeah, but I don't even know it was there. Part of the deal when I bought the car in June of 01, was to replace all the tires. You would have thought someone would have noticed it then. I mean, it's complete with the sensor, band and counter weight and it's the only one on the car. Sort of tough to miss.
