Some of you may have known last weekend I installed my Corsa exhaust. This evening was really the first time I got to take her out on a reasonable trip (140 miles roundtrip coast and back). Anyway for the last four years this Vette has consistently got in the mid 18's for Average Miles per Gallon based on the display. My instantaneous mpg generally ran in the high twenties (26-28) at cruise.
On the ride back I was flipping through the display and was surprised to see 21.5 Average and it kept climbing. And my instantaneous was running around mid 30's at 1700 rpm and just under 70.
By the time I got home, the Average had climbed to 22.3. No matter how gingerly I drove the Vette even on trips I've never been able to get better than high 18's and low 19's. And these numbers were after the computer was reset from having the battery disconnected during the exhaust install, and I had been seeing mid 14's Average just driving locally this last week.
In a nutshell that's a pretty impressive jump that I was not even expecting as a result of switching over to Corsa. I don't think they even mention better gas mileage in all their material.
So it appears that there was an unexpected benefit from installing the performance exhaust. Just thought I'd share.

Does the car pull any stronger with the Corsa system installed? Any change in the power curve that you can feel?
Gosh I don't want to go that far I'm sure someone will tell me I'm imagining it. However, I do notice that it is peppier and more responsive. I suppose I should have had it dyno'd before and after just for the numbers. I suppose that alternations in the power curve might be described in seat-of-the-pants language as peppier. Maybe go so far as to say yes on that one.
One thing that is really kewl about them is the sound that the engine makes as it rev's upwards through 2000 rpm in 1st and 2nd. You can actually hear the sound change as you accelerate, but you can't hold it long there. Well if I had a clear safe place to do that, because your through 60 so fast its not funny. And that would draw attention by the wrong folks.

I don't think you would be imagining it. I have heard that of all the after market cat back systems out there, only B&B and Corsa produce an increase on the dyno. I've read somewhere that Corsa yields about 10 RWHP boost. Was just wondering if you could feel it.
I wouldn't be surprised at all. I put the open lid w/K&N in the previous week but didn't see any noticable change, but the Corsa's are another story. You do notice a difference.
