Brake lights NOT WORKING

HELP! My "hi center" brake lights works fine, but the main brake lights aren't functioning. The tail lights themselves work OK, but don't do anything when the brake is applied. Any idea how to fix?

Pedal switch?

I checked the fuses and everything seems OK there. As for the pedal switch, would that explain why the center light works and the other one's dont? How do I check this?

Turn signals??

I've head that this might be due to something wrong with the turn signal switch. Does that make sense ?

Whew...that's good news! I just purchased it and was afraid of a crazy bill from the dealer! Since I'm new at this whole world, I wouldn't know the pedal switch if it bit me! Any chance that someone has a picture of it?
