Welcome, Welcome, and Welcome. "Cosmetic Up-keep." Never heard the term, but it is certainly appropriate. Plenty of help for all kinds of questions here, ask away.

Yes, my husband laughs at my terminology also! His department is mechanical.... mine is make sure it LOOKS good on the road
I hadn't been able to drive it for nearly a year (long, sad story) but we finally got around to giving it the TLC needed. The dash was screwed up, he got it fixed and I went for a drive YEEHAWWW! Then I noticed the the top was lifting off on the back side,,, had to turn around and come home.... back to the garage
My top on my 94 was lifting in the drivers rear side from the frame and the weatherstrip company that we use, put motorcraft (I work for a ford dealership) silicone gasket and sealant in there and it has stuck since.

Welcome to you both. I know you're enjoying the bluebonnets right now! I agree - go with a quality silicone sealant (O'Reilly, NAPA, Car Quest, Autozone, Advanced). Put a thin bead and push it back together and let it set for about 12 hours.
