i notice on many C4s that the paint above the trim line looks to be a different shade than the paint below it. what is the explanation for this? is the fiberglass different or am i just imagining this (and for the smart alecs out there i mean on solid color cars)
anyone know this?
You're not imagining this. I have it on mine also. It is ever so slight and barely visible, but if you know it's there and you stare hard at it, you can see it. I believe it is more visible with the lighter colored cars and it is probably due to the sun hitting one part of the car more than the other. Lift up your gas door. You'll probably see a very pronounced difference.
thanks for helping me know i'm not insane. i noticed this on someones profile and their white car looked like it was silver under the trim thats what made me think of this.
i figured out the pic posting
i must tell you though that the car looks much better in the pics than it actually does. this is 1-of-693 vettes painted the white and silver 2-tone in 1986. it also has the z51 bose stereo (broke) 18 year old carpet and cloth seats and whats left of the original paint.
it will look like the bottom part is a little darker i guess is the only way to describe it. it is most noticeable on light cars out in the sun. this is the best i can describe it. hope that this is a little clearer.
