Default how much is too much

what size motors do you all have or wish you had in your car. Iv always wanted to wedge a monster zz572 in my car but 13,000 is a bit much. so i figure if i ever get a new motor it will probaly be a 454 or 502 or something. what do you all think is that resonable or am i dreaming.

... there is no replacement for displacement... but you also have to consider fitment issues to. I'm relatively happy with my LT4... but I do hope to make it a 396 someday. I only have 30k on her right now so tearing her apart for a desire is a bit unpractical at the moment, but someday it will happen

Put the biggest you can afford and fit.

splitwndo has a 572 I think in his C4.

here are a few videos, sorry no pics

This probably wouldn't be practical for the street, but still

I saw a 502 in Pace performance catalog #12499121. It's a ram jet fuel injected motor that makes 502hp and 565tq. It comes with a MEFI 4 controller and o2 sensor, all for just $9,639.99 Now, This is what I would like. Anybody know if it would fit and mate up to a ZF6sp, and it would probably need a high rise hood or something. Any thoughts.....????

For the Vette I would love to have an all aluminum small block 468 Sonny Leonard EFI engine. For my Malibu I would go nuts over a 706 Big Chief engine with a couple of stages of nitrous.

The largest motor *I* would consider would be a 434 ci small block. I would not be willing to put in the time or money for a big block conversion. The 434 combo, even mild, would be capable of low 11's and likely 10's. Wild 434 combos have arguably been able to run with a few big block combos. I have driven mid 10 sec street cars. They are plenty quick for me.

Remember these two things!
1. You can't have too much money
2. You can't have too much horsepower

That's all you need to know.

I have a 383 Stroker. The nice thing about it is if you look under the hood you would never know it wasn't stock.
