I have a 1990 coupe with a removable glass top. The seatbelt warning light comes on, however the seatbelts work - mechanic told me it is a sensor inside the seatbelt that is not registering. . . said the whole thing would have to be replaced. Don't really want to have to do that - any suggestions?
Also, the warning light for the airbag is on. Mechanic told me it is most likely a clock ring in the steering column having to do with sensors. . . very expenisve to get to and replace. It doesn't mean that the airbag will not work. It is also not an inspection issue in PA.
And one last thing. . . the Bose system crashed - that is, nothing works - not the cassette, not the radio and not the CD player - all I hear is a static sound.
I don't want to spend a lot to get this stuff fixed because I want to sell it. Anyone out there have similar problems? Any suggestions on what do to? Help!!
BOSE - Blows! Get rid of it... (might be the amps built in to the speakers)Is your mechanic a "corvette specialist"??? I'm not a mechanic - but I don't trust any shop that is not specializing in corvettes, and unless you have money to burn - stay away from the dealerships too.
